[ Yeah... sorry Lily May, not only does Saihara not have any treats on his person, he also doesn't make a very tasty one himself. Especially not after he's been crawling around under the desk with his hands on the dusty floor. He watches her carefully though, just to be certain she makes it out of the classroom -- don't wanna trap her inside again by accident when he leaves.

But, cat worries settled, he reads the note... ]

Our favorite book...?

[ What...? He has no idea what Komaeda might have meant by that. They did discuss a few of the novels in the library, that's true, but it's not like they lingered on any specifics... and there's the second note, too. What in the world is going on?

He keeps thinking about it while running down the stairs again, unable to shake the unease from the words "serve purpose" on the torn paper. Coming from Komaeda specifically... even with no context, that's cause enough for worry. Damn it... why does the school feel more crowded than ever when he's in a bit of a rush? That's probably why though, but he makes it to the library eventually, slowing down right in front of the doors before he lets himself in. He has the distinct feeling the librarian would kill him if he ran around while inside and showed any sign he might make a mess.

That being said though... he does remember what Komaeda told him. His favorite genre... is mystery, right? Something they have in common, and Saihara's footsteps carry him over towards that section almost by reflex. Although... that's still a pretty broad selection? How is he supposed to narrow it down? ]

Ah, maybe... I should start with the classics.

[ There's a lot of those too though, as expected from a school library which would be mostly that... like Edogawa Ranpo and Arthur Conan Doyle and... hold on, there's a specific one I plan to make him find bc I thought it'd be them-core but maybe next tag. ]
